SARNO

Josephine, (Lombardi) of Norwood, formerly of Roslindale, passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Leo F. Sarno. Devoted mother of Barbara A. Freedman and her husband James of FL, Joseph L. Sarno of Walpole, Laura J. Fay and her husband Richard of Norwood, and Steven C. Sarno and his wife Patti Bronk of N. Attleboro. Daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline (DeMarco) Lombardi. Cherished grandmother of Michelle, Richie, David, Lisa, Mark, Lauren, Kristen, Nicholas, and Jonathan. Also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

Josephine loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed cooking for those she loved. She had a lifelong love of sports, beginning in childhood and continuing throughout her life as an avid fan. From playing softball as a young girl, to dancing on the weekends with her friends, to enjoying fishing and hunting in her later years. Josephine embraced life with energy, enthusiasm, and a true sense of humor.

Visitation and funeral services provided by Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood, MA. A Funeral Mass was held at the St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood, MA.
