LIDDY

Gerald T. of Norwood passed away at 83 years old surrounded by his family on May 2, 2026. He was with his wife and constant companion of 55 years, Judy (Julia A. Murphy). Jerry is the son of Mary and Thomas Liddy of Co. Clare, Ireland who predeceased him. Jerry leaves a tight-knit family who adored him. Devoted father of Denise M. Michienzi and her husband Joseph of Norwood, Kevin G. Liddy and his wife Anne of Medfield, and Thomas E. Liddy of Canton. Cherished and loving grandfather of John, Brian and Daniel Michienzi and Gavin and Ryan Liddy.

Jerry was raised in Dorchester in a home full of faith, love and friends. He was a graduate of St. Marks Grammar School in Dorchester, Christopher Columbus High School in Boston, then went on to graduate from Northeastern University and served in the US Army Reserves. After graduating, Jerry worked for over 40 years for the National Credit Union Administration. He was the proud color guard flag carrier for the Colonial Boys of Norwood and life member of the Norwood Elks Lodge #1124.

Jerry was very supportive of his children and all their activities and would do anything to help any friend or stranger. He was always quick with a joke and loud with a laugh. He would walk many miles and make great friends along the way every day. Jerry was an enthusiastic traveler to Ireland, Scotland, Italy, France, London, Alaska and the National Parks.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday May 7, 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood, MA. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to the Colonial Boys of Norwood, Inc., 11 Florence Avenue, Norwood, MA 02062.
