Baccalaureate Sunday at First Congregational Church
Theresa Begg (Norwood) will be attending Johns Hopkins University, majoring in biology. Dylan Begley (Norwood) plans to attend Stonehill College to study criminology. Sysille Eaton (Norwood, graduating from Newton South) plans to study crime and law in the fall. Gavin McDonald (Norwood) will be attending MassBay Community College for Mechanical & Industrial Engineering. Patrick Murphy (Norwood) will be attending Bridgewater State University, majoring in criminal justice. Isla Wilson (Norwood) plans to attend the University of Rhode Island, studying sports media.
College graduates include: Ethan Barrows (Norwood) from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, with a master’s degree in accounting. Hailey Barrows (Norwood) from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst with a master’s degree in public health. Elizabeth Begg (Norwood) from Bridgewater State University with a BS in psychology. Laura Danehy (Norwood) from Bridgewater State University with a master’s degree in education. Benjamin Randall (Norwood) from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.

First Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) is an Open & Affirming congregation welcoming all. We are located at the corner of Route 1A and Winter Street in Norwood. The regular Sunday morning worship service is at 10 AM. Worship services are conducted in person, live-streamed during the worship service, and posted to the FCC Norwood YouTube channel afterwards. Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers. Sunday School classes are held for children in grades Pre-K through 8 mid-September through mid-June. Our Pastor, Rev. Library announces Viola Sastavickas Scholarship winners
The family of Viola Sastavickas has made donations to the Morrill Memorial Library since 2007 in order to create a scholarship in the amount of $2,500 per year. This scholarship is to be awarded annually to a current or former library employee or library volunteer for one of the following purposes: undergraduate or graduate school, a formal course of study, or an enrichment opportunity (continuing education).
