Blood donors needed
Having blood and platelets available when a patient arrives at a trauma center is vital. Major traumas can quickly deplete a hospital’s blood product supply. People of all blood types are urged to schedule an appointment to give blood or platelets as we look toward Memorial Day and summer.
All who come to give June 1-28, 2026, will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice, plus automatic entry for a chance to win one of two $7,500 gift cards. See RedCrossBlood.org/June for details.

5th Annual Norwood Pride Celebration
We invite everyone to join the town’s fifth annual Pride Celebration on the Norwood Town Common on Saturday, May 31 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. We encourage you to support our local downtown businesses for dinner or bring your own food and whatever else you’ll need for comfort and weather. Taps Across America at Old Parish Cemetery
This Memorial Day, May 25, at 3:00 p.m., Taps will sound at Old Parish Cemetery to honor the more than 50 veterans interred there, including 29 men who served in the American Revolution. This year, the tribute will feature two trumpeters from Norwood public schools: Arielle Jones and Gabriel Martinez Ovando.
